A Diffuser Film is a critical component in any backlight module, placed on top of the Light Guide Plate to ensure the light distributed is perfectly uniform. While the LGP does the heavy lifting of spreading the light across a surface, it's the Diffuser Film that refines it. Its primary job is to obscure the underlying pattern of the LGP and to homogenize the light, scattering it to smooth out any remaining inconsistencies in brightness. This eliminates any potential "hotspots" (overly bright areas) or shadows, resulting in a soft, even glow that is crucial for a high-quality display. Our diffuser films achieve this through micro-particles or surface structures that scatter light in a controlled manner. We supply different types of diffusers, each with a specific haze level and light transmittance percentage. A higher haze level provides better diffusion but may slightly reduce overall brightness, so selecting the right film is a balance of these two properties. A bottom diffuser, placed directly on the LGP, provides the initial scattering, while a top diffuser further refines the light and can also help widen the viewing angle. TECHWON ensures that the diffuser films we provide are of the highest quality, free from imperfections, and possess excellent optical properties. This guarantees that our clients can achieve the consistent, flawless backlighting that is the hallmark of a premium display product, whether it is for a television, a computer monitor, or a sophisticated medical imaging device.
