A Polarizer Sheet is an indispensable optical film in any Liquid Crystal Display (LCD). Without it, an LCD screen would simply show a uniform white light. Its fundamental role is to filter unpolarized light, allowing only light waves oscillating in a specific plane to pass through. An LCD requires two of these sheets: one behind the liquid crystal layer and one in front. The first polarizer aligns the light before it enters the crystals, while the second one (often called the analyzer) works in conjunction with the first to either block the light or let it pass, based on the orientation of the liquid crystals. This selective blocking and passing of light is what creates the images we see. Our polarizer films are complex multi-layered structures, typically consisting of a core polarizing layer (PVA film stretched and doped with iodine) protected on both sides by durable Tri-Acetyl Cellulose (TAC) films. Advanced versions we supply include additional layers like anti-glare (AG) coatings to diffuse ambient light, anti-reflective (AR) coatings to reduce surface reflections, and Hard Coat (HC) layers for scratch resistance. Sourcing high-quality polarizers is key to display performance. We ensure our films offer high polarization efficiency and transmittance, which translates to deeper blacks, brighter whites, and a higher contrast ratio. Furthermore, we provide films with wide viewing angle compensation layers, ensuring colors remain true and vibrant.
